Dr. Andrea Geistanger is a PhD statistician with a Diploma in Business Mathematics. As a TÜV-certified Manager for Applied AI Transformation and an accredited INQA coach, she combines scientific depth with applied AI and a thorough understanding of business strategy, people leadership and business processes.
She builds on 20 years of leadership in data science at a global diagnostics company. She knows in detail how research and development works, and how these processes interlock with business strategy and the wider set of business processes, so products reach the market quickly, at the right quality and in line with regulatory requirements.
She worked on numerous product developments in diagnostics, on international regulatory submissions across the EU, the USA and China, and on validated development under IEC 62304.
Data science is a fundamental pillar of focused research and development. It means having the whole data cycle under control: from structured data storage through data generated for the specific question, to analysis, visualization and dependable interpretation. Automated reporting and documentation count just as much, along with feeding results and insights back into data storage and knowledge management, so that knowledge, once gained, stays and speeds up the next step.
It is exactly this closeness to research and development that shapes her approach: she interlocks AI consulting and R&D, and brings AI to where products are made.
She runs GeistAnger - Consulting as an AI-First practice: the methods she recommends are the methods she uses herself.
